This is my 1st webcam and found it to be pretty neat. I was expecting a little better from all the great reviews but since it's my 1st I don't know what the others are like. The quality of the WebCam is excellent and not too bulky. I bought it because it has RightLight technology which is suppose to digitally increase the lighting of the room by moving a low light boost switch. As I did that I noticed the speed of the video decreased so much that you get a ghostly blur of movement on your video as it runs at a slower speed. I upgraded my room lighting by buying stronger florescent lighting and turned off the automatic RightLight setting and now everything is fine and video is smooth as silk. This WebCam comes with a software that lets you add many cartoon like video effects to you face and is pretty fun to use. After reading many different reviews on other WebCams I still think I made a great choice in choosing the Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000. Don't buy it if you want to use it because of the RightLight technology. It will only slow down your video if turned on and your voice will not match what you see.
