After paying attention to the warnings of the otehr reviewers about NOT plugging the camera in prior to running the install CD, I have to say that my experience was very fast and painless.
The QuickCam is my first web cam, which I purchased for my wife and I to use in overseas communication with friends in the U.K., real-time, and to have for the fun of simply having one if we wanted to use it for something else. Apparently, it will take nearly DVD-quality video direct from the QuickCam, but we've not expiremented with this as of yet. Same thing with still photos.
The video sent across using just the basic webcam function is top-notch however, with lighting and color corrections right in the camera before it gets sent to your recipients. The camera angle is wider-angle than some cams I've seen used by friends and people on the net, and generally speaking, I haven't a single complaint against the thing.
Well, one thing only, which is sort of trivial. I don't have the web cam mounted on top of my monitor, but beside it, and the base is not exactly super-steady. It'll fall over easily if it gets bumped. Since that's the worst of my problems, I think it's a great purchase.Get more detail about Logitech Webcam Pro 9000.
