This is the first web cam that I have found worth buying. After reading numerous bad reviews about the 9000pro software, but seeing video made with them, I decided to try one. Following instructions for installation was easy. Excellent video and audio right away. None of the problems reported in other reviews. This computer uses windows xp media center 2005. Not being the type to leave well enough alone, I decided to check for updates. The installation program did not find any updates during initial installation, but I knew there was one. After downloading the latest update, the computer could not find the camera or microphone. I had to manually make the system settings. I found no difference in the video or audio with the update. I then removed the complete installation and did a fresh install using the provided disc, without an update. I now have Amazing video, even in low light. Audio is better than most microphones I have used. I bought two more 9000pro's for my daughters. Both have different versions of xp operating systems. I gave them instructions not to update if they had no problems. Both work as well as mine. Both have received complements on the beautiful video and that it is much better than video sent by other people. We use eyeball chat, works great.Get more detail about Logitech Webcam Pro 9000.
