This web cam is very clear when you use it with the provided software. The only downfall is when you use it to video chat online over a program such as AIM or Skype the clarity gets degraded. However these are more of a problem with the programs that are being used and the internet service than the camera's fault. But, in low lighting the right light technology drastically lowers the framerate. I bought this camera because when I use the camera to video chat it is usually before I go to bed and there is low lighting. I don't bother using the right light technology because movements, including my mouth talking, as slowed down and blurred. a lot. The camera is very good under normal lighting conditions and works flawlessly with video chat programs so I do recommend the product.
