I had purchased a Microsoft VX-3000 that never did work good, it's brightness was poor (too dark), then the microphone gave out within a week. Returned it to Amazon and purchased the Logitech Pro 9000.
This Pro 9000 is a dream to use with its auto focus and auto light adjust and a built-in microphone that is clear with no noise or echo.
I even use it as an "electronic microscope" by setting the lens about 2 inches from something, set it to manual focus and zooming in all the way. Doing this I was able to see microscopic insects crawling around on the leaf of a dahlia plant that was not doing well. Get more detail about Logitech Webcam Pro 9000.
